Description

Domaine du Couvent by Philippe Cheron is our newfound discovery. The Domaine’s winery and cellars are located in the center of Nuits Saint Georges. The vaulted 19th-century cellars allow the wines to be aged in perfect conditions. The Domaine owns vineyards in prestigious appellations and climate with most of the Domaine is made up of old vines with over 70% of the vines aged 50 years old.

The Chambolle-Musigny Les Clos de l’Orme is in the border of 1er cru Les Charmes, the vineyard is established on a gently sloping soil, very draining because it is composed of a thick layer of limestone scree from the valley of Chambolle. The plot carries a very diversified plant material with the oldest carried out in the 40s. This thus makes the wine extremely complex.

At the tasting, we find the charm and the natural elegance of Chambolle wines, but on a particularly rich base. It is at the same time rich, complex, concentrated and endowed with a captivating length.
