@domaine_jean_philippe_fichet has been known to fashion some amazing village level Meursaults as well as a killer Bourgogne vieille vignes blanc.

Touring around the cellars with Jean-Philippe previously, we realise that he has such a great sense of pride in his wines and is always jovial with a ready smile on his face. All these wonderful qualities of Jean-Philippe transcends into the bottles he produces. His entry-level Bourgogne Blanc Vieille Vignes has enthralled many a wine drinker both seasoned and novice alike. What we love about his wines is the sense of balance and tranquillity in them, they are full of tension, yet always approachable even when relatively young, giving us immense pleasure while also very capable of ageing gracefully for at least a decade. In recent years, more and more people have come to discover his lovely wines and consequently, our stocks have depleted very quickly.

Elevate your CNY gatherings with a Riseling, perhaps one of the most versatile wines you can have in your cellar. Did you know Rieslings pair extremely well with spicy food? Nothing beats having a chilled fruity Riesling with a steamy broth of mala steamboat soup; the slight sweetness reduces the heat, but what puts the cherry on top of the cake is the Riesling's intense aromatics complementing the spices, and the bright acidity helps to cleanse your palate with every sip.

If you're catering for the masses, fruity Rieslings are also easily appreciated by novice drinkers. & for our fellow Burg lovers, the dry rieslings (Markus Molitor, White Cap) are just as minerally and energetic as the Chardonnays.

Happy 2022! 🎉 A cool rainy day calls for the company of Morey Coffinet. We love the wines from Morey-Coffinet, and its hard not to. As of a year ago, the domaine is in the hands of Michel Morey’s son, Thibault. Morey-Coffinet holds many of the finest 1er Cru in the village such as La Romanee, Dent de Chien and small plots of Batar Montrachet. Since 2002, Thibault stopped all herbicides and began ploughing the soil moving towards organic (and a few biodynamic) farming.

The 2019 Chassagne Montrachet was Simply. Magnificent 👌🏻 (courtesy of the vintage as well), the wine had a little warm note but also glowing with energy, lively and vibrant. Morey has really nailed the 2019s. The wine is approachable although more years in the cellar would provide extra dividends.
