Domaine Anne Gros Et Jean Paul Tollot 2012 Minervois Les Carrétals
Out of stock
Anne Gros’ partner, Jean-Paul, hails from the family estate of Tollot-Beaut in Chorey-lès-Beaune and the pair have come together to make wine together forming Domaine Anne Gros et Jean Paul Tollot. Ann Gros has, for decades, headed her own estate Vosne-Romanée. Finesse and precision are the two main characteristics of these Minervois wines—words more often used to describe Gros’ wine rather than the full-bodied reds of the south. The region’s combination of terroir, cooler heights, and very old vines offered just the combination for wines that speak of both the sun and of silk in every sip.
This wine is deep, layered aromas and flavors of cassis and crunchy dark fruits, licorice, vanilla bean, and searing minerality. Concentrated, structured and age-worthy, it will take 2-3 years for this to round into form and it will have a solid 10-12 years or more of total longevity.
