Domaine George Mugneret Gibourg is currently run by Jacqueline and her daughters Marie-Christine and Marie-Andree. Their cellars have an air of timelessness and tradition, a quiet dedication to quality. The range starts with a serious Bourgogne (often better worth keeping for a few years), to the villages of Vosne Romanee and Nuits-St-George. The Domaines two premier crus from Nuits-St-George and Chambolle-Musigny are open, fruity, and more depth in comparison to the village wine. The Ruchottes-Chambertin is probably the Mugneret’s finest wine; delicious, soft, and full of charm.
