The Rousseau’s landholdings are mouth-watering: 8 ha of GC, 3.3 ha of PC, and 2.21 ha of Gevrey-Chambertin village land. This is an estate where the wines are made with care and by feeling for their soul. Meticulous care is taken to harvest only the best fruits giving a feeling of tradition honed down to a fine art. This Domaine has been at the top of its game for 2 generations. Truly an icon of Burgundy.
Long regarded as a Grand Cru quality grape. The Clos St-Jacques have a similar facing to Les Cazetiers, the wine gives fresh but very ripe flavors that build into an amazing finish. Shows very well in cask, but unlike the Les Cazetier, this wine has tremendous depth and length. The ability to age is magnificent.
